Why would the writer call his story American Beauty even though there’s no connection in the film itself? Well.. As I know – according to my interpretation in beauty is just like a face value or having a good heart . I’m trying to understand and connect the title and the whole setting of the movie itself. Maybe the writer of this movie has his own interpretation of Beauty and he just shown the other term of beauty. (According to me) I read the background of the director of this film and the genre is Comedy-Drama? What comedy! Seriously?? There’s no anything funny in that film and he call his film as a comedy-drama? I’m not criticizing him but the film he make is just a psycho film for me because I saw the movement of mom and dad and this “weirdo guy” who’s taking videos of a girl he likes that kind of behavior is not “FUNNY”. maybe some people who already saw this film gave them happiness to them because I tried to tell to myself. that the film is a comedy. But, before I watch this movie I already had an idea about last part of the movie but in some point I really don’t find any comedy entertaining. I’m not a weird guy or lonely person who is hard to make you laugh and stuff. But this point the film I watched is not comedy it was a serious film that you need to understand and analysis it well. But, before I watch this movie I already had an idea about last part and trying to understand what’s is the meaning of this film anyways. I think the movie is all about the man who fears growing old, losing the hope of true love and not being respected of his daughter and wife. And the guy is trying to be the person he wants to be for the first time in his life and how the cost him his life in the end.
In the scene where Ms. Carolyn Burnham told herself that she’s going to sell the house today in that scene there’s a presence of montage that happen where she removes her clothes and she cleans the house at the very short scene and also in that scene one of the buyers of the house got when she saw the pool very different in the picture she post in the flyers she told her that the next time she posts pictures make sure that it is really the truth. Ms. Carolyn was disappointed and depressed about what the girl said. Because, her aim today is selling the house. she started frustrating herself about what happen on that day. The writer of this film is giving as a lesson about saying the truth. But for me sometimes you need to lie to push through the task. We have a different techniques to finish are task good for Ms.Carolyn Burnham she was so desperate to sell the house that why she do that thing for her good. Yeah! she’s wrong maybe next time we should tell the truth rather than saying a lie maybe she buy the house when she saw the real picture of the pool. Me Lester Burhams is a father of a Jane Burnham she is unhappy and struggling with self-esteem issue. Sometime she didn’t respect her parents because of that weirdo behavior of Mr and Ms. Burnham. On the other thing she has a friend named – Angela Hayes a cheerleader and a best friend of Jane. On the scene where Jane and Angela have a cheer dance jane parents have been arrived on the venue of a basketball game. Mr. Lester saw Angela Hayes he is attracted to her he imagined Angela everywhere she see. Mr. Lester immediately develops an obvious infatuation with Angela. Mr. Lester has fantasies involving sexually aggressive with Angela and the imagination of the “Red Rose petal”. When you hear a Red Rose petal? What mostly came in your mind? For me it’s a significant of Virginity where Mr. Lester Burnham see in Angela. He wants to taste a Red Rose Petal to fulfill his desire. Burnhams family have a new neighborhood the son of the new neighbors is obsessed in their daughter Jane every time he saw Jane his going to record all the kinds of things she is doing that has a kind of a creepy attitude. Jane is so bothered of their new neighbor Ricky because if what he do. As a few days, each of the Burnhams family makes a life changing scenes within their character. Carolyn meets a real estate rival Buddy Kane for a business lunch and ends up having an affair with him and later they go to the room and have sex. Then Mr. Lester Burnham became a service in crew in a fast food chain and he starts to work out to impress Angela and started smoking Marijuana – while Jane develops a romantic relationship with Ricky, Having bonded, what he consider to be his most beautiful camcorder footage and later Ricky meets the father of Angela and he became the supplier of Mr. Lester Burnham’s drugs.
The father of Ricky concerned over the growing relationship between Lester and Ricky, roots through his son finding footage of Lester working out nude slowly bringing him to the conclusion that his son is gay. Buddy and Carolyn are discovered by Lester, who seems to be mostly unfazed by his wife’s infidelity. Carolyn, who is almost more devastated by Lester’s indifference than by her being exposed as an adulteress, is further dismayed when Buddy reacts by breaking off the affair. As evening falls, Ricky returns home to find his father waiting for him with fists and vitriol, having mistaken his drug with Lester for a sexual affair. Realizing this as an opportunity for freedom, Ricky falsely agrees that he is gay. Lester finds an emotionally Fitts standing outside in the pouring rain and attempts to comfort him, but is taken by surprise when Fitts kisses him. Lester telling him he has the wrong idea. Fitts broken, Meanwhile, Carolyn sits alone in her car on the side of the road, holding her gun and becoming more and more infuriated at the day’s turn of events. Moments later, Lester find Angela want to have an relationship sexually, but then again she confesses that she is a virgin. Now viewing her only as an innocent child, Lester immediately loose his affections shift to a father figure, and they bond over their shared frustrations with and concern for Jane, Lester seeming to be pleased when Angela confesses that Jane’s in love. Angela asks how he’s feeling and he realizes, to his own surprise, that he feels great. After Angela excuses herself to the bathroom, a happy Lester sits at the table looking at a photograph of his family in happier times.
“I guess I could be really pissed off about what happened to me… but it’s hard to stay mad, when there’s so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I’m seeing it all at once, and it’s too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that’s about to burst… and then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain. And I can’t feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life. You have no idea what I’m talking about, I’m sure. But don’t worry… you will someday.”
There’s no more regret or something changed what you’ve done at least you learned a lot of your experience you have to move on and let the life to the fullest be stronger enough to face the reality and be wise in every decision you make.
